I also upgraded today. I could get into most of my old connections but couldn't not get into my aws ec2 linex 2 mysql connection. Received the authentication plugin not loaded error. After spending too much time on this issue (and confirming that I could access the connection via dbeaver on the same computer as well as another computer on an older version), I reverted back to 8.0.30, and I was immediately able to access the db again.
