Sys_exec() Ubuntu Mysql

Hello,

I have installed the above mentioned function in mysql in theory, but when I execute it, it does nothing. Can somebody give me a clue of what is happening? I have used radius disconnection and also simple functions like "ls" sending it to a txt file, but it oes nothing.
