I am developing both with Delphi 2010 and XE5 (32 bit target) with Zeos and it works perfecty.
I put the libmysql.dll in:
Windows\System32 for XP
Windows\SysWOW64 for Windows 7 / 8
Then just specify no path in the ZEOS components but do specify the libmysql55 (or whatever) protocol and then it works.
