Igor,

The libmysql client code is to be found on github: https://github.com/mysql/mysql-server/tree/8.0/libmysql and https://github.com/mysql/mysql-server/tree/8.0/sql-common etc.

It's being built as part of the server build, as described here.

If you would like to avoid building the full server, there's an undocumented, but useful cmake option called "WITHOUT_SERVER".
