Community 5.6.22, 32 bit and 64 bit install confusion

I have Windows 8.1 64 bit.
I want to run MySql for 32 bit Python and 32 bit Excel.

I thought it best to install the MySQL community 32 bit version.
This can only load half of the installation items but somehow it installs the Server as 64 bit architecture, not 32 bit.

The Python connector does not work as I have an Anaconda Python version.
OK there is an alternative
Excel connectors and the Workbench have 32 bit and 64 bit versions but refuse to load.

Am totally confused as to what to install and how.
Could someone list exactly what I need?
