To me, it looks like the only step that failed was to put MySQL on the "installed software" menu in the Control Panel.
Can you check to see if the service is running?
Have you tried to connect to it with a client?
Next time you try, try launching the MySQL installer "as Administrator", that may get that last step to happen.
