Hello Larry,
May ask that you manually execute the MySQL for Visual Studio 1.2.9 stand-alone MSI, perform a repair by selecting a Custom Installation and then attempt to remove the product via Window's Control Panel? After doing this do you still get the same error?

Also, if possible please log a bug for the MYSQL for Visual Studio product as this seems to be a bug on said product.
