I know there are duplicate/redundant columns, but my question in why does it work and automatically remove the duplicate columns when the exact same statement is done without the 'CREATE VIEW AS' part in front on it? I thought that creating a view essentially is just like making a macro, so the fact that the statement is contained in a view or typed directly just as a SELECT shouldn't make a difference?
