Pros/Cons: MySQL on Solaris vs on Linux

Hi all,

We are running MySQL 5.5 on Solaris 10 (x86) and we are looking to move migrate to Linux operating system. (Yes we will upgrade to 5.6 soon) I am trying to present some pros and cons between the two operating systems for running MySQL. The obvious advantage of moving to Linux is the availability of open source tools. Secondly is the tools from Percona. Other than this, is there other advantages or disadvantages moving from Solaris to Linux given all the hardware is the same?

thanks,

benny
