How best can a synchronisation be done between Oracle and MySQL

I would advise on how best can sync data between oracle8i and mySQL 3.23, 4.0.
I have oracle as a transaction DB and MySQL as a mirror/presentation DB but I need to constantly refresh the MySQL DB from oracle.
I am presently truncating data in all the MySQL table and creating inmsert statements for each record and excuting record after record but the process seems slow and the codes hard to maintain
