sync_binlog is 1.
We intend to switch, but if this is going to continue to be a problem than that's bad. And also, if this is something that anyone with MyISAM in 5.5 can expect, that appears to be a rather major bug. So I'm hoping there was some other weirdness in my configuration to explain it. I can't switch to InnoDB all at once, there is a lot of optimization and planning that needs to go into it.
