Hi, experts,
We use MySQL5.0.67, cluster installation, running on a sun-blade server(SUSE, RAM16G, 2CPU*4Core).
Our data model is quite simple, only has several tables with innodb type. But the data volumn is farely large which is about 20G/hour.
We have tuned the normally considerred server variables for innodb engine. Now the problem is the cpu utilization is low and has high i/o wait percentage. Throughput requirement was not fulfilled. We tried to tune the size of client connections, it seems that too many connections harms the performance. We get the best throughtput when having 3-5 concurrent sessions. It's about 3k-4k inserts/sec, while we want 8k-10k inserts/sec.
what we can do to improve performance? Thanks in advanced.
