I should also note that all of our clients are normally routed via a VIP to a single mysqld in our 3 node cluster. We're not using the cluster for scale, we're using it more for HA. So, I do not believe there are a lot / any transactions being initiated by the non-VIP mysqld processes. And, we are not typically running "load tests" when these issues are occurring, just sort of general functional tests.
