Is it possible to apply the spatial extension to three-dimentional data?

hi,

Good morning, everyone.

I use MySQL to store and analyze three-dimensional spatial data. I was thrilled when I first discovered the spatial extension in 4.1. Reading the manual told me it only deals with two-dimensional data. Not willing to keep up on it, I hope your guys can answer some of my puzzles:

1. Is it possible to apply the current spatial extension to three-dimensional data?

2. If it is not possible, does MySQL developing team intend to support three-dimensional data in the future?

3. Is there any other database supporting three-dimensional geometric data?

Have a nice weekend, everybody.

Yun
