ODBC

i have a problem with Crystal Reports using ODBC , the connection really slow. I have to wait up to 5 minutes.
Is there another way out to solve this problem ? so i don't have to use ODBC, may be OLE DB will be much better.

Currently i'm using ODBC 3.51.11 , pls help.
