I've not tried that yet.
Did the my.cnf look like it was setup appropriate for my hardware, e.g. 4GB memory, etc.
The problem seems to be that the system is slower than SQL Server on Windows when it is writing to MySQL tables with a lot of data in them. MySQL on Linux is mean't to be the fastest!
That it why I think that my installation of MySQL is not optimised for my environment.
Any ideas?
