OK, the query cache is off to a good start. You've had 74421 queries, and of those, 24869 have come from the query cache, meaning no disk or even key buffer access. Almost instantaneous returns.

Since this status variable output was only done after 501 seconds ( < 10 minutes) of uptime, it's tough to say whether the changes made have had good effects or not. I'll take a look at your site, and you go ahead and post back your status and server variables after *at least* two days, so that the server has enough time to "even out" and provide decent stats.
