Hi Hans,

What concerns me is the 10min story about the mysql_upgrade without any data. Could you tell me more ?

If I understand correctly, you installed 5.7 (fresh install), then you installed 8.0 and ran mysql_upgrade (still no data other than the system tables). Isn't it ? And that took 10min ?

By default, MySQL 8.0 is more durable and enables binlogs. Could you check and maybe share your config ?

Cheers,

lefred.
