We generally do not recommend such setups as for the availbility you'd require a minimum of 3 data centers (to avoid the split brain problem).

Also, currently the protocols aren't designed for such a nework setup - where communication between some nodes is really fast and others is slow. Latency is what will be the killer.

That being said, it is possible - but you'd want low latency network between the data centers.
