Re: cluster restore failed! why?
All that single user mode does is to keep any other Cluster clients (SQL or API nodes) from accessing the cluster while you're restoring it, because if they did, this would probably result in a failed restoration.
As Stewart's already said, single user mode almost certainly has nothing to do with your problem.
