When upgrading from a version before MySQL Cluster 6.2 you need to perform a backup, set up a new cluster installation from scratch (purge all DataDirs) and restore that backup.

Starting with MySQL Cluster 6.2 an online upgrade from the latest version of one release branch to the latest version of the following release branch should always be possible, e.g. an upgrade from MySQL Cluster 6.2.15 to 6.3.20 is possible using
the rolling restart approach with the cluster being online and available all the time.

(A rolling upgrade from MySQL Cluster 6.3.20 to 7.0.5 is not yet possible but will be supported starting with the upcoming 7.0.6 release)
