MySQL Clustering
I need a distributed solution for a computing project I am doing for my final year of university. Through searching, I came across MySQL Clustering, which although developmental still - seems exactly what I need.. until I read this:

MySQL Clustering v1.0 ...
only works if you can put all your data in RAM, according to O'Reilly's Andy Oram. That's a big limitation.

What I want to know is - is this the truth? And if so, does that mean that a Database would only be limited to the size of free memory?
Surely that is not the case.
Please reply.
