Hi Brian,

You're attempting to set up MySQL (NDB) Cluster, and this is the forum for InnoDB clustering, which is a completely different thing. I've asked for this thread to be moved to the MySQL Cluster forum.

ndb_mgmd should be in the mysql-cluster-community-management-server package. It's packaged separately because there are no dependencies between it and other NDB programs, and it can be installed by itself on a server intended to run only as a management node.
