So took everything down last night in the middle of the night to embark on getting everything restored back to 7.6. Cluster is up and usable (yay!), although still getting this at the end of a data node syncing itself into the cluster:

DBLQH (Line: 7222) 0x00000002 Check regTcPtr.p->m_dealloc_data.m_dealloc_ref_count == 1 failed

Filed a bug report: https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=98526

Things are up with 7.6, minus the redundancy, so I guess it's a step. Also scared to try again to sync those data nodes into the cluster (with or without --initial) because one of the things that catastrophically took down the entire cluster when it was 8.0 was exactly this, and then when you tried the node again, all data nodes crapped out.

This is the most fun I've had with ndbcluster in the ~10 years of using it. Weeee... :)
