Replication from 5.5 (master) to 5.6 (slave) is supported config, yes?

The ability to replication from a 5.5 Master server to a 5.6 slave, as a step towards migrating our production environment to a current 5.6 environment is definitely a supported method, correct?

Does the 5.5 Master need to be at a specific patch level, in order for replication to work properly? Is there a Best Practice guide for setting up one-way 5.5 -> 5.6 replication?
