delaying of data

We have a need to delay data by 15 minutes.

We take financial data feeds which our users pay for for real time data but also have users who get the data for free provided the data can be delayed by 15 minutes.

The best way to solve this would be via our java feed programs but I'm not in a position to do this right now.

We currently take a snapshot of the (changed) price data in the table every minute and a process extracts this data 15 minutes later but this will miss multiple updates which occur in between snapshots.

Would perhaps a process which follows the relay log be a reasonable way to get delayed data, with all the updates?
