MySQL Replication
Hello Guys,
We have a disaster recovery exercise coming up soon. As part of the exercise, we need to backup and restore two databases. The challenge I have at the moment is that the these databases are being replicated. The mysql servers have multiple replication roles. i.e. master/slave (California) and master/slave in (Dallas).
My questions are:
1. What is the mysqldump command I can use to backup multiple databases?
2. Is it best to stop all replication prior to the backup or after?
3. What is the best way to start replication again after the databases have been restored without having to recreate it?
Thanks in advance,
-rp
