I'm having a similar problem.
The analysis stage and restore stage fail at random points with no error messages. Sometimes it doesn't fail and everything is restored properly.
Also, in the analysis stage the progress counter is sometimes written *outside* of the client window area, namely at the top left corner of the desktop.
It feels like some sort of thread conflict.
