Copy of Mysql Files
Hi,
i have a question about raw copying mysql-files (myisam and innodb). if i copy
the files without locking and flushing the tables befor, what do i risk ?
- do i risk to loose queries, which are performed during the copy ?
- or do i risk a corrupted backup, which will not work at all after
restoring the files ?
thank you,
philipp
PS: i am talking about mysql (3.26 and 4.0x, and 4.1x) on Linux only...
