Problems with restoring database

Hi
Recently I wanted to move my forum from a lycos webspace to an other webspace. The problem is that the lycos space works with MySql 3 and the other space works with MySql 4
When I wanted to upload my old database into the new webspace I got the following message:
Error importing backup file
DEBUG MODE
SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '
What can I do, to make it work or what is that error saying? I really want to keep all my members and messages from my old board.
