(i) So was fishing / phishing for a MySQL 5.5 feature list that mysqldump v5.1 definitely could not handle.

(ib) or MySQL 5.5 features which mqsql 5.1 command could not possibly articulate as it restored a MySQL 5.5 backup/dump file.

(iii) Agreed. Which is exactly what hosting support demanded... "show us the error of something not working, THEN we would look into it."

"Finding better provider..." I only just discovered this unfortunate gap.

So, anyone know of MySQL 5.5 capabilities that MySQL 5.1 commands definitely could not support? I think that would be my place to start researching this difficulty.
