Ummm, why not just generate passwords you know will work?

For example, I've used 10 digit passwords, all alphanumeric characters with no probs.

I dunno what the limitations are, but are you going to generate passwords that reach those limitations? I think not, so just build totally random, 10-digit, alphanumeric passwords. That's what I'd do.
