Hello, I am developing a software for some customers and I realized
just yesterday that there is the possibility to reset the password for root and then
thus allow anyone to enter the db with the profile root and view the
entire, i.e., schema, tables, etc. Given that there are some data concerning
the start of the apps that I am developing in this way the safety would be
less.
I wanted to ask , if there is the possibility to disable the functionality in
object, namely (i do not want to allow to bypass the
authentication procedures ), I do not want to give the possibility to reset the
root password and consequently allow subsequently db access to
anyone.
I am using Mysql 5.0.41 comunity
awaiting your reply I thank you and I greet
Mike
