Need recommendation: best Linux server for MySQL

All,

I am in the process of making a decision on which Linux OS to pick for my production DB server box. Which Linux Server distro is best for a MySQL high traffic OLTP server?

By best, I am looking for these qualities:
0) Easy to install
1) Easy to maintain
2) High performance
3) Free
4) Stable
5) Most popular as DB server OS
6) supports both AMD and Intel CPUs

Note my configuration and what I am running in this box:
a)MySQL 5.5
b)Other DB-related software
c)Most likely Intel Xeon or AMD Opteron CPUs (most likely 2 socket 4-core or more)
