Could Not Open Connection Error

I downloaded and installed MySQL Workbench successfully.
Tried to add a new connection, but receiving an error saying "Connecting to MySQL server ...
Can't connect to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1' (10061)
How do I troubleshoot or What should I do when setting up a new connection in MySQL Workbench?
