odbc error connecting mysql to a access gui
I have an MS Access Application (yes you can create applications inside of MS Access. No, I didn't do it I am just the person that has to deal with it now that, that guy is gone! It is basically a VB GUI that opens inside of an Access Database.) that I am trying to connect to a MySQL database using the ODBC connector. When I try to connect I get the error "ODBC error cannot connect to 'server name'" but when I connect with MySQL workbench I am able to connect fine. Has anyone experienced something similar and if so what are possible resolutions?
