I have the same problem. It is hugely disruptive. After 2 days of working on migrating a multi-GB database to 8.0 from 5.7 and overcoming various compatibility issues, I now find that I cannot access it over ODBC with Microsoft Access which is a 32-bit application. I am of course on Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit machine, but Office 365 is 32-bit.

Please make this fix a priorty. I would happily test any early beta version you may have.
