This could be a bug in Connector/ODBC.
Please report it here:

https://bugs.mysql.com/report.php

Remember to include all relevant details such as connection options being used, the structure of the table (as CREATE TABLE statement), sample data etc.

These issues are sensitive to the column types being used and particular data in the table. That is why we ask for the context.
