[MySQL][odbc 3.51 driver] can't connect to mysql server on 127.0.0.1(10061)

can anyone help, i just upgraded to version 5.0 of MySQL server.

All was working well on previous version of 4.1.

now my db will not let me connect to the adminstrator /query browser or even add the right db to the odbc driver which does not seem to work.

when i try to connect to any one of these apps it throws the error message:

[MySQL][odbc 3.51 driver] can't connect to mysql server on 127.0.0.1(10061)

i also had an error number mysql error number 2003 ,previously but now it is just throwing :

[MySQL][odbc 3.51 driver] can't connect to mysql server on 127.0.0.1(10061)
