I understand that. We are not sharing statements, and as I said we are changing our structure to also not share connections because we want to use streaming result sets which requires a dedicated Connection.

We also use JDBC and MySQL in an embedded environment where we do have some extra threads. There I imagine that sharing a connection is desireable as the environment is single CPU only so there's not a reason to have multiple threads active and accessing the DB, espically since the cache sizes are set small on MySQL.

I'll try the nightly build and see if this resolves the problem, but I may not see it anyway, because the problem not only is non-deterministic but it was an error in our connection pooling class that allowed multiple threads to use the same connection anyway, and we are trying to correct that (this comment is about our desktop-based and not embedded-based system).
