Thanks Mark,

I've noticed the lack of support for the decimal types yesterday and downloaded the nightly snapshot after searching the bug list. There was a bug posted for the Connector/J 3.1.7 and the use of prepared statements and the method for date formatting. Exactly in that method my exception was thrown, so I tried the snaphot and it worked...

But anyway thank you very much for your support!
