Unless Visual J++ is Java-2 compliant this won't work.

We don't officially support Visual J++, as it's no longer a supported release of Java (as far as the Java platform is concerned).

ClassDefNotFoundError usually points to a CLASSPATH problem, though...are you sure yours is configured correctly?
