Project with Spring MVC CommunicationsException

Hello

Hi have a problem with my connection to MySQL. After 8 hours of inactivity I get the exception:

com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.CommunicationsException: The last packet successfully received from the server was ...

What can i do to avoid this problem ?

I am using mysql-connector-java version 5.1.15 for now the user of my system need to try twice to do a consulting the database.
