Re: XML output format

Jay, thanks for responding to my question. I still don't understand the reason for the change in XML output format, but that's ok I will adjust to the new format.

In the meantime, what does it mean to "download the MySQL client"? I just installed the 5.0 release on my machine and wasn't aware that there is a separate client. Is that the mysql.exe file?

If I understand your suggestion, I just copy the mysql.exe from release 4.0 to the mysql/bin directory. Then I can get the old XML format and still get all the new features in 5.0.

Please let me know if this is incorrect.
