loose dbase connection

Our Delphi 5 application runs with a MySQL 3.23 dBase.
These application runs 24/24 hours over almost a year without any problem.
By using MySQL 5.0.19 we got an error when there is a day shift. (23:59:59 to 00:00:00)
We become the message that we are loosing the connection with the dBase and we have to restart the application.

Please advice.
