Blob as tvarbytesfield

I work at Delphi7+mysql-connector-odbc-3.51.12-win32+MySQL5.0
There is a blob field 'icon' in 'table1'.
ADOQuery have SQLstring: 'select * from table1'
Why when I do add all fields in ADOQuery, blob field 'icon' mapped to type 'tvarbytesfield'
