Connect directly from Delphi

I want to connect directly to MySQL Cluster from my Delphi project

Can some one show me a C++ white paper or something so no special addition is necessary to access MySQL Cluster.
I want to separate my self from the ODBC and have a raw connection

Java dose this and with Delphi i can use a object as a data container much like a mongo database. this is not only a much faster use of a data base, it also uses less memory.
