Hi all,
I had the same problem on 4.0006, however, I sorted it out by setting my LD_LIBRARY_PATH and PATH environment variables.
Hope this fixes the problem for some of you.
Set the following
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib/gcc/sparc-sun-solaris2.9/3.4.6:/lib:/opt/mysql/mysql/lib:/usr/local/lib
PATH=/usr/ccs/bin:/opt/mysql/mysql/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin
