Error No 1251: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server

Dear All,


I was trying to build a dynamic website. I am using Windws XP, Apache 1.3 (as web server), PHP 4 (for scripting) and MySQL 4.1 (for database). PHP and Apache are working just fine.

but when i tried to use MySQL from a php page i got the error no. 1251- Client does not support the authentication protocol requested by the server. I am using Internet Explorer 6.0.

plz, i am stuck now. help me out. what actually is the problem?
