I got your question, but I can't find any clue on it right now.

May be
Calculate the available days and dates for that room first, for example if you already have
1. 7-1-2005 to 17-1-2005
2. 23-1-2005 to 31-1-2005

So your room is only aviable for 6 days start from 17-1-2005, if booking is more than 6 days from 17th it is not available for that room. In this case search another room or shift the booking to 31-1-2005 (In the reality this will not able to work)

Compare the arrival date and days of stay with available date and days when booking.
